Kate Middleton Had Her First Official Meeting in 9 Months
The news comes just days after she shared that she finished her chemotherapy.
Kate Middleton is officially back at work—and the news comes just eight days after she announced that she'd finished her preventative chemotherapy. According to the Daily Mail, the Princess of Wales held a meeting on September 17 at Windsor Castle for her Early Years project. The outlet notes that she met in person with members of her household team and individuals from the Centre for Early Childhood at Kensington Palace.
The Court Circular, which officially documents all the comings and goings of the royals, described the meeting as: "The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor." The last entry in the Court Circular involving Middleton was back on December 6, 2023, when she met with the Royal Foundation.
Since stepping back from her royal duties to heal from her abdominal surgery and subsequent chemotherapy, Kate has only had a handful of public appearances, including the men's final at Wimbledon and this year's Trooping the Colour. In a video shared on September 9, Kate explained that she would be undertaking a "light program" of royal duties for the next few months.
Middleton's video also noted that she is "doing what I can to stay cancer-free" and added that the uncertainty around her health has been "scary and unpredictable" for her and her family.
The Daily Mail adds that the next time that the public will see Kate with the royals will probably be Remembrance Sunday on November 10. The palace has already confirmed that she will not be accompanying her husband, Prince William, to the Earthshot Prize ceremony this year in Cape Town, South Africa. He's set to make the trip solo.
