Kangaroo Caught Sneaking a Snack at Australian Wildlife Shelter

A kangaroo joey was caught maneuvering through safety fencing to scoff a sapling at a wildlife shelter in Elphinstone, Victoria.

Footage captured by Nikki Medwell, a director at Red Box Wildlife Shelter, shows the joey, named Harley, leaning in to take a bite of the sapling before untangling himself when he realized he wasn’t alone.

“The joeys know not to eat the saplings and jump if they get caught and scolded,” Medwell told Storyful, adding, “This little boy got a fright when he realized he’d be caught in the act.” Credit: Nikki Medwell via Storyful
