KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 3 — After an almost two-year hiatus, K-pop supergroup SuperM is making a comeback in 2023.

The group announced their return in a teaser trailer video posted yesterday on their social media accounts.

The teaser video features seven coloured lights representing the seven members forming the group's logo onscreen.

It ends with the message, “SuperM will be coming in 2023.”

The clip was played live as part of SM’s free concert on New Year’s Eve, SMTown Live 2023: SMCU Palace @Kwangya.

SuperM debuted in 2019, consisting of of SHINee's Taemin, EXO’s Baekhyun and Kai, and NCT’s Taeyong, Ten, Lucas, and Mark.

Labelled as ‘the Avengers of K-Pop’, the group rose to prominence, with their self-titled EP and first studio album, Super One, reaching the top spot on the Billboard World Albums chart.

In May 2021, Baekhyun and Taemin were enlisted into military service, resulting in the group to take a break from 2021 through 2022.
