JW: I'm not replacing other singers of Voice Entertainment

12 Aug – Although she is joining a company that already has a huge number of female singers, JW dismissed the idea that she is there to replace any of the more popular performers.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer who spoke to the media at the contract signing event with Voice Entertainment recently, stated that she would like to focus on her music and do a good job at that, rather than think too much about competing with others.

She also denied trying to replace Jinny Ng as one of Voice's big stars, now that the latter is in hiatus to focus on her second pregnancy.

"I believe Jinny will continue to sing after the birth of her child, just as I will never give up my singing career when I get married and give birth to my child. The platform is big enough to accommodate a lot of people," she said.

On the other hand, fellow Voice residential star Hana Kuk, who also attended the event to show support for JW, stated that she is not at all threatened by the presence of another female singer.

"I am very happy that JW is joining us and strengthening the company's status. I hope that she will get the opportunity to record many hits," she added.
