A Colorado deputy collapsed after being exposed to fentanyl while taking a suspect into custody on Tuesday, July 23, the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office said.The deputy and her partner had taken a suspect into custody and found “suspected fentanyl pills and paraphernalia” after responding to a call of an “unwanted person” at a gas station.Bodycam footage released by the sheriff’s office shows the moment the deputy fell to the ground before her fellow officer rushed to her side. The second deputy administered Narcan, a drug used to treat narcotic overdoses, the sheriff’s office said.The deputy who collapsed was taken to the hospital and has been recovering at her home, the sheriff’s office said.
