'Just Like They Moved the River Over Here': Floodwater Flows Through Center of Kentucky Town

Heavy rains left communities in eastern Kentucky inundated with floodwater on Monday, March 1.

Tom Hollon said this footage shows Main Street in the small town of Beattyville “completely underwater” on Monday afternoon. Beattyville in Lee County was under a flash flood warning until 3 am on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
