KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 -- After being absent in the first season of Sex and The City reboot And Just Like That..., Canadian actress Kim Cattrall will reprise her character Samantha Jones in the new season.

Streamer HBO Max confirmed to People that the 66-year-old actress will appear in the season finale that will see her character speaking to Carrie Bradshaw played by Sarah Jessica Parker on the phone.

The matter was also confirmed through And Just Like That... Twitter account.

The series will premiere on June 22 while Cattrall’s scene will only appear in August.

According to NBC News, Cattrall previously said she was done with the show purportedly over a feud with Parker.

She was last seen in the second Sex and the City movie in 2010.

Cattrall had reportedly told former Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan that Parker “could have been nice” and that their relationships were “toxic”.

She also told Variety last year that she was not asked to join And Just Like That... but she was ready to bid farewell to Samantha after filming Sex and the City 2 because her character was not progressing.

In season one, Samantha moved to London for work and she and Carrie had a falling out when she fired Samantha as her publicist.

However, the two former friends continued to exchange texts in an attempt to rekindle their friendship.
