Julia Fox just stepped out in her most shocking look yet — and that's because it's not shocking at all.

The Uncut Gems star, 34, was nearly unrecognizable when she was spotted strolling the streets of New York City recently in an outfit that screamed "casual, cozy and covered-up," a completely different vibe than she usually goes for.

In the photos, Fox was wearing a brown fur coat and a knit sweater over a pair of black leggings. On her feet, she rocked a pair of pink satin ballet flats with white socks — the only "risky" part of the look. She wore her platinum blonde hair down and a black cap on her head.

The model also chose to go makeup-free to match her casual outfit, a rare occurrence for her.

Fox is known for taking extreme fashion and beauty risks that usually command attention rather than blending into a crowd.

During New York Fashion Week in February, she bleached her eyebrows blonde for her appearance at the 2024 Costume Ball. She wore a toupe e.u.n.o.i.a.a Shakespeare dress, which featured a borwnish-grey corset on top of the bodice and a deep, high slit that ended just below her thigh.

The author's hair and makeup completed the dramatic effect of her look. Her hair was a subtle shade of lavender gray. Along with the bleached-blonde eyebrows, Fox wore bright teal eyeshadow on her eyelids and what appeared to be teal mascara on her lashes. Bright fuschia pink blush and a matte red lipstick finished the look.

While attending a  Sotheby's exhibit in New York City in January, the actress wore a deconstructed wedding dress, which featured a veil attached to white turtleneck-style wedding dress top.

Her entire stomach was exposed in the outfit, but she wore a black thong and her legs were covered by the bottom half of the deconstructed dress, which also had a small train.

Fox's face was completely made up in bold eye makeup and a red lip to finish the look. Her companion to that event,

Amy Fine Collins, former editor at Vanity Fair, wore black slacks and a shirt with a men's tuxedo drawn onto it, making the theme of both looks clear.
