Julia B. is one of our favorite retailers for outfitting our tables, powder rooms, and beds, and now, there’s finally a collection just for us. The luxury fabric brand launched a new nightwear collection, Angels of Bergamo, this week in support of a region in northern Italy that has experience severe devastation from the coronavirus.
These beautiful pieces were designed in California and produced entirely in Bergamo, Italy, in collaboration with Martinelli Ginetto, a luxury textile producer based in the region that produces many of the fabrics utilized by Julia B. A considerable portion of the proceeds from the nightwear collection will go to nonprofit organizations supporting healthcare and small business in the community.
“Upon witnessing the tragedy that is directly impacting so many artisans across the globe, at Julia B. we could not help but ask ourselves, ‘How can we help?’ ” says Julia. “It quickly became clear that for us to create a new nightwear line and produce it entirely in a region that has been as terribly impacted as Bergamo made perfect sense. We are very pleased to be collaborating with Martinelli Ginetto, Italy's — and Bergamo's — leading producer of luxury home fabrics, to bring this collection to life.”
The capsule collection consists of a charming, ultrafeminine nightgown offered in two colors and produced in Swiss dot batiste fabric. This marks a relaunch of sorts for the company, which previously included nightwear as part of Julia B.’s inaugural collection nearly 20 years ago.
A representative from Julia B. says the company plans to expand the Angels of Bergamo collection throughout 2020 in consideration of the necessity to remind everyone that the need for support today due to the coronavirus will not diminish any time soon.
Julia B.’s Angels of Bergamo collection is now available for purchase online through the company’s website, with sizes available for women and children of all ages and sizes. It’s the perfect way to support one of our favorite travel destinations as we dream of one day getting back to exploring its charming storybook towns and legendary thermal waters.
