Joy Behar says her “View” cohost looks 'ridiculous' after Alyssa Farah Griffin pulls out Christmas hat live on air
Griffin wore a bright green outfit and, in the middle of a segment, randomly pulled out an elf-themed hat for the holidays.
Joy Behar just brought Alyssa Farah Griffin's spirited holiday tidings crashing back down to The View's Hot Topics table for a reality-check reckoning back here amid hellfire on earth.
The 82-year-old comedian — who last week welcomed the warm, seasonal transition to fall by interrupting a cozy on-air cooking segment to remind the audience that she once stabbed herself with a knife — introduced a discussion about how Americans plan to avoid the horrors of a second Donald Trump presidency, and cited that "hanging up holiday decorations" is key for some citizens.
"Besides looking ridiculous, what are you dong?" Behar said, after it was revealed that former Trump associate Griffin, 35, had pulled out a hat with a pair of stocking-clad elf legs on it, and placed it atop her head while she spoke.
"Holidays began the day after Halloween," Griffin admitted after receiving Behar's quip. "It's the best time of the year. You can have Christmas lights up and a pumpkin for Thanksgiving. Why not extend the happiest time of year? Christmas is here!"

However, Griffin's Yuletide spirit was dampened, as the hat was nowhere to be found when the show returned from a commercial break for an interview with actor Billy Bob Thornton.
Griffin's attire has long caught the critical eye of her View cohosts. Moderator Whoopi Goldberg famously brandished a pair of scissors and attempted to cut Griffin's shirt on the air in July 2023 after it was revealed that the conservative panelist had accidentally put the revealing shirt on the incorrect way, while the cohosts collectively jabbed Griffin for wearing a neon-yellow suit to the table on Thursday.
The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. PT on ABC.
