Journalist dies in collision with military vehicle in Mykolaiv Oblast, investigation opened
A tragic road accident in Mykolaiv Oblast resulted in the death of a journalist from a local media outlet and her husband, the State Bureau of Investigation reported on Nov. 20.

The accident took place on the evening of Nov. 19, when a military vehicle collided with a passenger car on the highway near the village of Yefremivka, Novobuzkyi district.
The journalist and her husband, the occupants of the civilian car, died of their injuries in the hospital.
The bureau has initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 415 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, on violations when driving or operating a combat, special, or transport vehicle, resulting in bodily harm or death.

The responsible party could face up to 10 years in prison. The investigation is ongoing.
