Jolin Tsai gets Sandra Ng in new music video

1 Feb – Jolin Tsai recently sparked anticipation for her new song, "Hubby", after sharing a photo with Hong Kong actress Sandra Ng, who will play a part in the music video.

As reported on Mingpao, the Taiwanese diva recently shared that the new video is inspired by classic Hong Kong films of the '80s, and will be presented in the style of Hong Kong movies of the era.

Some of the movies that will be reenacted include "God of Gamblers" and "Dances with Dragon".

Jolin admitted that she is very familiar with Hong Kong movies of that era, and is hopeful that fans will be entertained and feel nostalgic when they watch the video.

When asked how it was working with Sandra, who is the most respected actress and producer in the industry, the singer said that she was very happy and honoured that the latter said yes.

"She is like the sun, full of energy," she said.

Said Sandra, "I am really excited when Jolin invited me to participate in filming a music video that pays tribute to Hong Kong films. When I heard that I will play a goddess, I was very happy that I would've even paid the flight tickets to come here myself!"

Jolin revealed that her most favourite movie of Sandra's would be the comedy, "All's Well Ends Well", and that she would never get tired of watching it again and again.

To that, Sandra responded, "Hong Kong movies have their own unique style. The reason why it became a classic is because people replay it over and over again."
