John Travolta and Kristin Davis Play Exes on Opposite Sides of a Heist in “Cash Out” Trailer (Exclusive)

John Travolta, Kristin Davis, Lukas Haas and Quavo star in 'Cash Out,' out April 26

John Travolta is heading up an action-packed heist.

PEOPLE has the exclusive first trailer for Cash Out, a thriller starring Travolta, 70, as a professional thief who is drawn out of retirement to take on a tricky job in Miami.

The trailer shows the aftermath of one of Mason's (Travolta) jobs, in which he appears to fake his death and give up life as a thief.

Though Mason intends to stay retired, he is enticed back by his brother Shawn (Lukas Haas). He subsequently faces difficulties with law enforcement, who bring in his ex Decker, played by Sex and the City's Kristin Davis, to negotiate with the crew Mason leads.

Mason and his team "hang it up for good after a double-cross spells a near miss with the law," teases a synopsis for the movie. "But when he’s thrust into his younger brother Shawn’s hare-brained scheme to rob a bank — and tempted by what could be his biggest score ever — Mason jumps right back into his old ways."

After the heist goes wrong, "the thieves are trapped inside the bank with hostages while surrounded by SWAT teams, the FBI, and Interpol," the synopsis adds. "Included among the authorities waiting to nab the crew is someone Mason knows well: lead negotiator Decker — Mason’s former lover."

Cash Out is directed by IVES; screenwriters Dipo Oseni and Doug Richardson, the latter of whom received screenplay credits on Die Hard 2 (1990) and Bad Boys (1995), wrote the movie's script.
