John Mulaney Confirmed His Marriage to Olivia Munn With the Sweetest Story About His In-Laws
“Marrying into a large Vietnamese family is one of the most fun things I've ever done.”
John Mulaney officially opened up about his and Olivia Munn's marriage, confirming the pair tied the knot earlier this summer during his August 13 appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers. But that's not all the comedian confirmed—he noted that Munn's family is the best in-laws he could have ever hoped for
“I did. I got married,” Mulaney said during his time on the show, adding that being being with Munn is "the best" and that brought into a Vietnamese large family has been “the greatest single time in my life.”
“I've been in a lot of interesting situations,” the comedian continued. “Marrying into a large Vietnamese family is one of the most fun things I've ever done.” Mulaney explained that he was brought up into an Irish Catholic family that is "uptight about a lot,” and doesn't share much with each other because most topics are “taboo.” Munn's side of the family is the complete opposite.
“The Luong family, they talk about anything immediately upon meeting you,” the 41-year-old shared. “Like, ‘How much money you have? Why you so skinny?'” Munn's side of the family is funny too, and always likes to tag along for activities no matter where. “One of them will come with you anywhere. And they call me John Mulaney, full name. A little wrong, full name all the time," Mulaney told Meyers. "‘Olivia is here with John Mulaney.’ Yeah. And they're the greatest.”
Mulaney and Munn were reported to have tied the knot during the fourth of July weekend at a friend's house in New York. Munn's Newsroom co-star, Sam Waterston, presided over the intimate ceremony.
