Joey Yung celebrates her lunar birthday, uploads makeup-free pic

Turning 41 on 16 June, Hong Kong singer Joey Yung celebrated her lunar birthday on 13 June, posting a photo series on her Instagram and revealing that she did not even remember it was her birthday.

“I heard that it’s someone’s lunar birthday today, and she did not even remember it herself. However, someone else actually created a cute animation from her written works as a present for her,” Yung wrote in third-person narrative, sharing the animation in her Instagram post.

The singer also shared a photo of a birthday cake sent to her by another friend who shares the same lunar birthday as her. “She has received everyone’s love,” Yung captioned, sharing a photo of her without makeup, while posing in a cute manner with a bouquet of flowers.

"The person who loves her the most also sent two longevity eggs. She has received everyone’s love, and she hopes to bring love to everyone from now on,” the Instagram caption further read.

Breaking character, Yung ended the post with, “I hope that everyone I love will be healthy and safe.”
