Joel Chan announces wife's pregnancy
17 Feb – Three months after tying the knot with his non-showbiz girlfriend Apple, Joel Chan recently announced that the two of them are having a baby.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor shared a photo of him kissing his wife's belly and revealed, "My wife seldom gives me surprises on Valentine's Day, but this year, she gave me something that I had wanted the most."
"Thank you Lord for giving me this little piece of garlic. I will have another identity in 2020. I will do my best to take care of you and your mummy. Hopefully you can grow up safe and happy," he added.
When contacted for an interview, Joel declined to reveal how far long into the pregnancy his wife is currently in.
As for the baby's gender, he said, "There is no need to ask me that. I will reveal it on Children's Day."
Among those who congratulated the actor include actress Tavia Yeung, who is also pregnant with her first child. The actress wrote, "Congratulations! We can form a baby group!"
