Joe Manganiello and Caitlin O'Connor 'Weren't Expecting for Things to Get Serious So Quickly' (Source)

PEOPLE confirmed that the couple was casually seeing each other after meeting for the first time in a hot tub for an unofficial after party for HBO's 'Winning Time'

Joe Manganiello and Caitlin O'Connor are taking their relationship to the next level!

A source exclusively tells PEOPLE that the new couple is not only "very affectionate," but also "super, super happy together" as they always seem to be "looking out for each other."

"They weren’t expecting for things to get serious so quickly but it’s only a good thing," the insider continues. "Joe was pretty broken up when the divorce happened but he’s in a good place. With their differences he and Sofía [Vergara] both knew it was time to move on.”

Another also denied previous reports that the duo were looking to get engaged soon and living together.

In September 2023, PEOPLE confirmed that Manganiello, 47, and O'Connor, 34, were casually dating after meeting for the first time in a "hot tub" at a small "unofficial" after party for HBO's Winning Time.

Not long after, the pair — who have been quietly meeting up around L.A., according to the insider — were photographed leaving a Gold's Gym together in Venice, California after a workout and driving away in his car, per Page Six.

Manganiello and O'Connor made their  red carpet debut in December 2023 at the Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) Gala at Cipriani in New York City and went Instagram official with a post shared on Valentine's Day.

Most recently, the couple was spotted cuddling up as they watched the Los Angeles Kings play the Vancouver Canucks at Crypto.com Arena earlier this month.

The Magic Mike star's budding romance comes amid his divorce from Vergara, 51.

In July, the former couple released a joint statement, announcing their "difficult decision" to divorce after seven years of marriage.

Two days later, Manganiello filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the dissolution of the marriage, according to divorce documents obtained by PEOPLE. He listed the date of separation as July 2.

Six months later, Vergara revealed the reason behind her split from Manganiello, explaining that they reached a stalemate when it came to expanding their family.

"My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn’t want to be an old mom," the Griselda star told El País. "I feel it’s not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that’s not for me anymore."

"I’m almost in menopause; it’s the natural way of things," she added.
