JLS singer JB Gill and his wife Chloe have been subject to a burglary at their home.

According to news outlets including The Daily Mail, the couple's home was broken into during the night, with robbers taking valuables from the house.

JB was apparently taken to hospital after confronting the intruders but is understood to be making a recovery, while police are now investigating the incident.

A spokesperson for the singer told Digital Spy: "JB and his wife had hoped to keep details of the incident private in order to safeguard their young family. They are all well and safe having increased home security."

JB and Chloe married in Scotland in 2014 after six years of dating, with Gill calling himself the "happiest man on the planet" following the ceremony. The couple have since welcomed two children, son Ace and daughter Chiara.

JB rose to fame in 2008 when he and his JLS bandmates Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes and Oritsé Williams came second on The X Factor, with the group going on to release four studio albums and a greatest hits album.

The band split in 2013 and JB moved into working in farming, but JLS announced in February that they are reuniting and embarking on a new tour called the Beat Again Tour. Originally scheduled to begin this month, the tour has been pushed back to June 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

JLS have already been working on new material, with Oritsé promising that the quartet are "developing a new kind of JLS 2.0 sound".
