JetBlue Planes Fly Over New York in Tribute to Frontline Workers

Three JetBlue planes flew over New York City on May 7 in a show of support for health care and other frontline workers.

JetBlue sent three Airbus A320s to fly low over the city, with each painted in a different colour: one in blue for the NYPD, another red for the fire department, and a third bearing the “I love NY” logo.

In a statement, JetBlue president and chief operating officer Joanna Geraghty said: “JetBlue’s mission of inspiring humanity is stronger now more than ever. We applaud the healthcare workers who are helping us get through this challenging time and inspiring humanity along the way.”
