Founded in 2021, Something Happy Productions is a multimedia company dedicated to creating content that breaks the mold through telling stories that matter, with women at the center. Most recently, the company wrapped production on the Netflix comedy Kinda Pregnant, starring Amy Schumer, which it produced in collaboration with Adam Sandler and his Happy Madison. Then, there’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, hosted by Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin, which is set to return to ABC for the 2024/25 season as part of the network’s latest push into unscripted programming. Something Happy produces the show alongside Endemol Shine North America and Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, in association with Walt Disney Television Alternative.

Among Something Happy’s upcoming projects is a Netflix film adaptation of Lisa Jewell’s bestselling thriller novel None of This Is True, produced in partnership with Modern Magic. Eleanor Burgess has been tapped to pen the script, as we were first to report.
