Renner recently told CNN that he feels "very blessed and very lucky to be upright and walk around and to live life" more than nine months after his near-fatal New Year's Day snowplow accident.
“I’m very, very clear. My life is really lean, if that makes sense," he told the outlet. "There’s no fat in my life anymore. I don’t have time for that. So, there’s something really beautiful about having that superpower.”
Renner has been promoting the liquor brand Sweet Grass Vodka amid his recovery from the incident in recent months. The Avengers star, who also has a background in writing and recording music, recently announced he will soon release new music under the title Love and Titanium, inspired by "different milestones in my journey of recovery since Jan 1st this year," as he shared on Instagram Oct. 18.

The actor broke over 30 bones and underwent multiple surgeries after his snowplow ran him over while he was helping his nephew get a stuck vehicle out of the snow on New Year's Day at his property in Reno, Nevada. More than nine months removed from the incident, Renner told CNN he feels he has retained "a lot of gifts" that stem from the accident.
“When you’re tested physically, emotionally, spiritually, in every way, and then to come through it, that’s something hard to explain," he said.

“Perseverance. Strength. It’s all a mental game. I put it in my back pocket now," he added at the time. "I know how to deal with pain. It’s all mind. It’s all in the mind. If you can sift through the fog of it all, I am very blessed.”
Renner last appeared in the latest season of his Paramount+ series Mayor of Kingstown earlier this year. Otherwise, he has not acted since he reprised his Marvel Cinematic Universe role as Hawkeye for the 2021 Disney+ miniseries of the same name.
