Jennifer Lopez's Surprising Thanksgiving Outfit Broke a Major Fashion Rule
She's owning it.
The holidays may officially be in full swing, but leave it to Jennifer Lopez to go against the grain and wear non-traditional holiday colors for her celebrations. The "Waiting for Tonight" singer shared a look at her Thanksgiving celebrations, and wore an unexpected color for to her family's dinner.
Instead of opting for the popular orange, red, or gold color theme that's typical for Thanksgiving, Lopez wore a semi-sheer, winter white pullover crew neck sweater—breaking the fashion ruke of no white after Labor Day—with a floral knit pattern. The flowers, sprouted from green stems, were in peachy pink and orange tones. And instead of wearing loose pants to allow more room for eating, the pop star opted for a pair of fitted blue jeans to complete the look.

"I hope everybody had a beautiful and Happy Thanksgiving. I am so incredibly grateful for all of you," she captioned a photo of her in the outfit, in which kshe smiled in front of a beautifully baked and stuffed turkey. The photo comes amid her ex, Ben Affleck, spending Thanksgiving with Jennifer Garner volunteering for The Midnight Mission's annual Thanksgiving Street Fair in Los Angeles.
Lopez is planning to spend the rest of her holiday season surrounded by family and her children, she told People. “It was a pretty intense year for me, and I’m most looking forward to spending time with my kids and my family coming out from the East Coast,” she told the publication, before adding that she finds the holidays to be a "special time" no matter what is going on.
“The holidays are such a special time for us, and they’ve always been since I was a little girl,” she continued. "And I really look forward to those moments when I can be with my sisters and just relax and have fun and create new memories.”
