Jennifer Lopez Posts a Radiant Makeup-Free Selfie

Throughout 2020, Jennifer Lopez has been blessing us with selfies that have made this bummer of a year just a little bit better. Following her Super Bowl performance, she shared this bikini picture, she showed off some enviable hot-air balloon pants in this one, showed off a Guess swimsuit here, and on Saturday she greeted the weekend with a gorgeous, makeup-free shot. "Good morning, everyone! #MorningFace," she wrote.

2020 might not be an excellent year overall, but J.Lo isn't having such a bad time of it. In early February, before we all went into quarantine, she performed at the Super Bowl with Shakira. Her show-stopping turn onstage had featured sparkling outfits, her 12-year-old daughter, and a celebration of the Latinx community.

When some people expressed concern that the performance was too sexual, Lopez had a very measured response.

"I think that’s honestly silliness," she said. "Both of us are really respectful performers who are moms and have kids and are very conscious of what we do," Lopez said. "We (put on) a show that I believe was a celebration of women and our Latino culture that I think was really well reserved. And that small faction of people who want to be negative about it, I can't even let in."

She didn't agree with critics who said that the show was not appropriate for children: "The message of standing up for yourself, being a women—that's what I want to pass on to little girls—everything about you—be proud of it," she said. "I'm very proud of the performance that night."
