Jennifer Garner Has Become an "Unexpected Ally" to Jennifer Lopez Amid Ben Affleck Marriage Trouble

She's a girl's girl, through and through.

Jennifer Garner is giving equal emotional support to both Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez amid their recent marital issues. According to an Us Weekly source, Garner has been very kind to Lopez during this time, so much so that she's become an "unexpected ally" to the singer.

“She’s been helpful to J.Lo, and they’ve been relating to each other. Jennifer has been a surprising person for J.Lo to talk to,” the source explained to Us. Garner has also reportedly “been supportive” of Affleck during his difficult time and is making sure that he is “prioritizing his well-being and their coparenting relationship.”

As for Lopez and Affleck, Us Weekly revealed in its latest issue that ending their marriage for good seems like the most likely option for the couple at this stage, with a source telling the outlet “They can’t get on the same page [and] have been discussing divorce as an option.”

This isn't the first time that Garner has been reported to be supportive of Affleck amid his and Lopez's relationship troubles. A source previously told People that Garner "wants the best" for the Gone Girl actor, but she has a personal stake in the matter because they share three children, Violet, Fin and Samuel.

"She wants him happy and healthy so he can be the best dad possible," the People source added. "[Garner] likes that [Lopez] lives a healthy lifestyle and supports Ben’s sobriety. Jen wants that for Ben."

While it is unclear of what is in store for Lopez and Affleck, the couple has made plans to sell off their $60 million Beverly Hills home. Lopez, meanwhile, has been channeling her free time into work, and has taken a few solo trips to blow off some steam amid the reports.
