KUALA LUMPUR, May 13 — Jennie of South Korean girl group Blackpink has reportedly given a sneak peek at possible new music with Canadian singer The Weeknd.

At the launch party of her Calvin Klein capsule collection in South Korea on May 10, the singer was seen spinning decks with her close friends DJ sisters Simi Khadra and Haze Khadra.

In a clip posted on Instagram by ELLE Korea, the sisters began to play what they describe as a ‘special song’ midway through their set.

In the video, Jennie begins to smile excitedly as an unreleased track begins to play and sings along to female vocals that sound like her voice.

Shortly after a brief trap-hop instrumental a male vocalist sounding like The Weeknd sings a verse.

Jennie later reposted the snippet of the song on Instagram and tagged her upcoming series The Idol and her co-star The Weeknd’s accounts.

Music fans have been speculating on social media that the two global musicians did work together on a track that will be released soon in anticipation of their upcoming show.

The Idol, directed by Euphoria’s Sam Levinson, is set to premiere on June 4 on HBO and stars Lily-Rose Depp as an aspiring pop singer who gets entangled with a self-help guru played by The Weeknd.
