Jenna Bush Hager and Her Family Honor New York City's Pizza Rat as They Dress Up for Halloween

The television personality is mom to son Hal and daughters Mila and Poppy, whom she shares with husband Henry Hager

Jenna Bush Hager's son stayed true to his Halloween goal.

On Tuesday, the Today Show host, 41, shared photos of her kids Hal, 4, Poppy, 8, and Mila, 10, as they got ready to go trick-or-treating. Bush Hager wore a pizza costume, which matched her son Hal's rat costume, combining to be New York City's infamous pizza rat, which took over social media earlier this year.

Although her two daughters didn't get in on the pizza rat fun, they looked adorable as an angel and a bunny. Bush Hager's husband Henry Hager also smiled for the family photo, wearing a light-up costume.

Chatting with co-host Hoda Kotb, 59, last month, the mom of three revealed, "We've already been talking about what everyone’s going to be for Halloween in our household."

"What are we looking at?" Kotb asked.

Bush Hager took a breath as she explained, "Hal wants to be a New York City rat. Not just a rat, but a New York City rat, so a special kind of breed."

Kotb asked, "So bigger than normal?"

"Large, maybe pizza in half of its mouth," Bush Hager replied of her 4-year-old's idea.

As for her daughters, "Poppy is going to be the character from Clueless, which she’s never seen. And Mila, the last I checked, was going to be one of Taylor Swift’s albums," the mom explained, adding, "I think Lover."

Over the summer, Bush Hager opened up about what is most important to her as her three kids continue to get older.

"I spend almost all my time in parenting, trying to raise kind kids," said Bush Hager. "I don't really care about any of the other stuff."

"Yes, I agree with you," added Kotb, a mom of two.

"I mean, they're smart, great. But I don't care that they're number one in their class, or go to good schools. I just want them to be the type of kids that are kind," Bush Hager continued.

"And then coolness just comes too," she joked.
