Jelly Roll's Wife Bunnie XO Reveals Why She 'Almost Fainted' Meeting Billy Bob Thornton at the 2024 CMT Awards

"This made me starstruck," Bunnie wrote on TikTok

Jelly Roll's wife Bunnie XO was living her best life at the 2024 CMT Music Awards.

In a video taken just outside PEOPLE's photo booth, Bunnie was left starstruck after she came face-to-face with Billy Bob Thornton.

In a video posted on TikTok, the camera follows her as she walks up to the actor and gave him a big hug.

“Hi, I’m Jelly’s wife,” she said in the video, to which Thornton responded, “I know. How are you, honey?”

"I almost fainted meeting Billy Bob Thornton because he knew who I was," Bunnie, 44, wrote in the video.

"OK this made me starstruck," she added in the caption section.

At the award ceremony, the "Need a Favor" singer, 39, took home the coveted video of the year award, male video the year and CMT performance of the year. He also closed out the show with a performance of "Halfway to Hell."

After the show, Bunnie celebrated his success on social media.

“My sweet husband the visionary. The maestro of misfits. You are not an overnight success story, this has been 20 years in the making,” she wrote on Instagram. “Papabear your voice is an instrument of healing & the world is your choir. I LOVE YOU IN THIS LIFETIME & EVERY OTHER ONE IM LUCKY TO BE BY YOUR SIDE IN.”

Bunnie met Jelly Roll in 2015 and they got married in Las Vegas after a year of dating.

“We got married kind of randomly,” Jelly Roll shared on the King and the Sting and the Wing Clips podcast. “It was Vegas, right? So it’s like 11 o’clock. They’re closing the joint down by Hard Rock [Cafe] and I’m like, ‘F--- it. Let’s just go now.’ She’s like, ‘The courthouse is open for about 34 to 44 more minutes.’ I was like, ‘Let’s f---ing roll.’ "

In September, they renewed their wedding vows in the same Las Vegas chapel.

"Lucky #7 🎰 Luckiest girl alive. Tonite was such a dream✨" Bunnie shared on Instagram along with a video of the couple's nuptials.

In May of last year, Jelly Roll also praised his wife for her role in helping him raise his daughter, Bailee, from his previous relationship.

“It takes a special kind of woman to raise a child that isn’t hers," Jelly Roll shared on Instagram. "When Bunnie and I was first starting to talk, I knew I was about to get full custody of Bailee and also had another woman pregnant. Most women would’ve ran for the hill, but not Bunnie. She told me no matter what happened between us she wanted to help me get custody of Bailee."

He continued: “7 years later Bailee calls Bunnie Momma with no hesitation, and 7 years later Bunnie still blows my mind everyday with how loving and patient she is with Bailee. Happy Mothers Day Mama Bear. You deserve to be celebrated on this day more than anyone I’ve ever known. I love you so much!” he added.
