Jeff Bezos Praises Fiancée Lauren Sánchez After She is Honored with Aviation Award: 'Proud of You'
Sánchez was awarded the Elling Halvorson Vertical Flight Hall of Fame Award during Friday's Living Legends of Aviation Awards
Jeff Bezos is showing love to his award-winning fiancée!
The billionaire, 60, toasted Lauren Sánchez on social media shortly after she received an award at Friday's 21st Annual Living Legends of Aviation Awards at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.
In the comments of a Saturday Instagram post from Sánchez, 54, — where she raved about the ceremony and her new Elling Halvorson Vertical Flight Hall of Fame Award — Bezos let her know he too was celebrating the big achievement.
"Proud of you! ❤️," the Amazon founder commented.
In her carousel of images, Sánchez included a black-and-white shot that showed herself and Bezos posing for a photo alongside Prince Harry — who was inducted into the Living Legends of Aviation following his years as a helicopter pilot during his decade in the British Army — and John Travolta, who hosted the event.
The celebratory post came just a day after she earned the award for her expertise as a helicopter pilot and aviation businesswoman. The news anchor and climate advocate's win arrives four years after Bezos himself was celebrated at the ceremony.
"Honored to have been in the presence of aviation legends who have shaped the history and future of flight," Sánchez wrote in the caption of her post.
"Thank you @livinglegendsofaviation for this incredible recognition. Grateful to my loving family for their unwavering support. 🙏✨," she added.

As previously reported, according to Hello! magazine, Sánchez said she was "thrilled" to receive the award after the event, joking that it was "only time" before more women would be inducted (currently the organization has 10 female members).
During the Aviation Awards, where the honoree wore a black strapless fitted gown with black opera gloves, Sánchez was recognized for her aviation milestones such as founding the aerial filming company Black Ops Aviation in 2016.
Sánchez previously served as a consultant on Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk, according to The Hollywood Reporter, as well as working as an aerial producer in Catherine Hardwicke's 2019 film Miss Bala.
Sánchez, who became one of the first women to own and operate an aerial film and production company, previously told WSJ Magazine in 2023 that she flys at least three times per week with her family often on board.
"I don't know why more women don't do it,” Sánchez said. "They're like, "What? You're such a bada--!" And I want to say it's really not that hard. I do want more women to get involved in it."
