JD Scott Eases Fans Concerns After Jonathan Scott Posts Family Photo Without Zooey Deschanel
Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel continue to be absolute relationship goals. In fact, Scott just penned Deschanel the sweetest note for her 41st birthday over the weekend. However, prior to the occasion, a photo Scott shared to Instagram last week worried fans that something might be up between the pair. Fortunately, a little photoshop magic was able to make things right.
On Thursday, Scott shared a family photo to Instagram. "Missing these lovely humans today," he wrote in the caption. Scott appears in the center of the photo surrounded by Drew Scott and wife Linda Phan; JD Scott and wife Annalee Belle; and parents Jim and Joanne Scott. Zooey Deschanel is nowhere to be seen. What makes her absence stand out even more is that Scott is the only family member who is pictured alone.
Fans of Scott's relationship with Deschanel took to the comments asking where she was. Fortunately, however, Deschanel and JD were able to quickly clear up any confusion. "Someone photoshop me in. This is before I met any of these awesome people," Deschanel wrote in the comments. JD also reiterated the fact this was a photo taken before his brother started dating Deschanel. "To those who are concerned Zooey isn’t in this, it’s a #TBT photo. Throw Back Thursday. Way before she joined the fam jam," he wrote. Phew!
The following day, Scott shared the same photo, but with a super adorable edit: Deschanel had been added in. "This is amazing," he wrote in the caption of the newly revised photo. He thanked Twitter user Shanna Jones for photoshopping Deschanel in, who is shown playing the ukelele while donning a pink cardigan and white dress.
As for the rest of the photo, you might be curious as to why everyone is posed like that. The photo, which Scott originally shared in November 2016, was the family's take on the "Mannequin Challenge." This viral internet trend, which began in November 2016, required participants to freeze mid-action, as CNN previously reported. Deschanel and Scott did not start dating until September 2019, which is why she was not there for the photo. However, we're glad to see that modern technology can literally bring her into the picture.
