Jason Kelce is standing up for himself — with a bit of humility — after getting criticism for his dance moves.

After a clip of Kelce, 36, dancing on ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcast went viral online, one user on X (formerly known as Twitter) called the retired Eagle a "clown" in a post and took aim at his character based on the video clip.

"White men in the modern era are only allowed to be a few very limited and tightly controlled things," the user wrote, adding, "But this particular Regime approved white male phenotype — the clown, minstrel, drunk, immature, 'mind your biz' consooomer, joke, adult baby, slob — is easily one of the worst."

Kelce saw the post and responded to the user with a thoughtful message. "I’ll admit I am all of these adjectives at times, but if you think these are the only words that I represent I highly recommend you watch my documentary on Amazon," the father-of-three wrote, referring to his Prime Video Sports documentary Kelce, which premiered in October 2023 on the streaming service.

Kelce continued in the reply on X: "Very successful, and while playful, still has a lot of values about life, family, fatherhood, and marriage that you would appreciate I think."

Finally, the former NFL star suggested that the X user watch the tearful, 40-minute-long speech he gave on March 4 while announcing his retirement from football.

"Also my retirement speech, while admittedly crying much more than I wanted to, is a different tone than my buffoonery as well," Kelce told the X user.

Kelce also replied to A\another user on X slamming his dance moves. In a quote tweet calling Kelce one of the "top 2 guys you wanna party with," a woman named Sara Gonzales wrote, "Counterpoint: I would be embarrassed to be seen with a grown ass man doing this."

Seemingly unbothered, Kelce wrote back, "My wife Kylie says this often. Embarrassing her is one of the great joys in my life."

On Wednesday, Sept. 18, during the latest episode of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, Jason jokingly addressed the "devastating" comments about his dance moves on social media.

"Just countless people quoting a picture of you dancing and saying, 'This is a full grown adult male with kids, and he's doing this in public.' I'm like, 'You know what? I mean, you got a good point. It's ridiculous.' "

Travis, 34, however, was impressed with his brother's show-stopping performance. "I keep watching it, and I keep crying laughing, man. I was so proud. I was so proud. Everyone thinks I'm the dancer," Travis said on the podcast.

"Dude, you are the f---ing most electric dancer I've ever met in my life. You can put a smile on anybody's face by dancing," the Kansas City Chiefs star added. "Thank you for that. I'll have that forever. I'll have that in my back pocket on a f---ing cloudy day."
