Japanese Football Fans Celebrate Along Shibuya Crossing After Historic World Cup Win
Football fans took to the streets of Tokyo after Japan defeated Germany in the World Cup group stages on November 23.
Video recorded after midnight on November 24 by Yuichiro Sugaya shows a group of ecstatic Japanese supporters cheering along Shibuya’s busy pedestrian crossing. After traffic police clear the way for pedestrians to cross, supporters from both sides of the street are seen rushing to meet in the middle of the crossing to celebrate together.
