Japanese "Architecture 101" remake is cancelled

24 Jun – It was revealed that the Netflix film, "Koi ni Ochita Ie" has been cancelled.

The film, which would have been a remake of the South Korean "Architecture 101" was originally announced in November last year, with the film to have Tomohisa Yamashita in the lead.

However, it was revealed that the movie has been scrapped due to creative differences.

Said a Netflix rep, the producers hoped to develop a work that satisfies all creative directions, but that their highest priority was to pay tribute to the original version.

"Thank you very much to all the staff who participated in the planning of this film," the rep added.

The original 2012 film tells the story of two students who meet in an introductory architecture class and fall in love, only to meet again 15 years later when the girl asks for her first love to help her build her dream house. The movie stars Uhm Tae-Woong, Han Ga-In, Lee Je-Hoon and Bae Suzy.

However, all is not lost for the said actor, who is set to appear in the second season of Netflix's hit Japanese series, "Alice in Borderland".
