Jamie Otis is getting "real and raw" about self-love.
The former "Married At First Sight" star, 36, shared a set of candid photos with her Instagram followers on Sunday, paired with a message about body image.
In the first photo, the mom-of-two took a selfie in a beige bra from a upward angle to show off her "soft" lower abdomen, while the second, "perfectly manicured" snap featured Otis and her husband Doug Hehner posing at a red carpet event in downtown Nashville, TN.
In her heartfelt caption, Otis opened up about her journey to self-love, offering inspiration and insight. She expressed her newfound confidence and the importance of embracing all shapes, sizes.
"I always wondered how confident people became so dang confident. I know now it's because they learned how to love themselves at every shape, size, and circumstance in life," she penned. "I didn't want to share the perfectly manicured pic of us without sharing the raw and real pic of me too."
Otis pointed out the importance of authenticity in an era when social media is so curated. "The internet is too filtered and sometimes we need a reminder of what real bodies look like," she wrote.
She reflected on her relationship with her body image, writing, "I genuinely feel beautiful in both of these photos, but it's taken a long time for me to get to this place where I embrace my softness. And to be honest, I still have days I don't feel beautiful. I guess that's just life for ya!"
In the comments, fans praised Otis for keeping it real, "as always."
"Thank you for speaking your truth," an Instagram user shared.
"Thank you so much for keeping it real, as always. Such a powerful and refreshing reminder," commented another.
"You are a warrior! You are beautiful inside and out and I'm so glad you love yourself in whichever body you are in! I just love the this picture of Doug and you!," someone chimed in.
A fan added: "Thank you for how transparent you are!"
Earlier this month, the "Hot Marriage Cool Parents" podcast host shared another honest message about self-acceptance with an Instagram Reel documenting her relatable journey of finding "flattering" jeans as a "size 12-ish."
"After I had my second baby, my body never 'bounced back,' I actually just kept gaining weight! Shopping for jeans that actually fit (and I felt good in) has been such a struggle since," she shared.
Otis continued: "If you watched me on 'Married At First Sight' or 'The Bachelor,' then you know I'm 40 lbs heavier than I used to be. I've really tried to embrace this 'mom bod.'"
"I'm so thankful this body has given me my beautiful children!," she concluded.
