Jamie Lynn Spears has left the jungle.

Britney Spears’ younger sister will no longer appear on ITV reality series I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! for medical reasons.

The UK broadcaster did not disclose the precise reasons for her departure. She will appear for a final time this evening on the Australian survival series.

An I’m A Celebrity spokesperson said: “Jamie Lynn Spears has left I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! on medical grounds. She’s been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities.”

Spears was emotional during Tuesday night’s show, telling her fellow campmates that she wanted to quit. “I hate it here so much, I hate it here so much, I hate it here so much. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it here. This place is where people go to have the worst days of their lives. Dear God, please help me to make it. I think I’ve got to leave, I think I’ve got to leave,” she said.

Spears, an actress in Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101 and Sweet Magnolias, was one of 10 celebrity contestants who headed into the Australian outback earlier this month.

She recently competed in ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, soon after Zoey 102, a film sequel to sitcom Zoey 101, launched on Paramount+. She also appeared in Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test on Fox in January.
