Jamie Lee Curtis Says Lindsay Lohan Is in 'Mom Mode' with Baby Son Luai: 'She Just Loves It' (Exclusive)
Lohan welcomed her first child with husband Bader Shammas in 2023
Jamie Lee Curtis is loving seeing Lindsay Lohan as a mom!
During the bi-annual Children’s Hospital Los Angeles 2024 Gala on Saturday, Oct. 5, the actress, 65, spoke exclusively with PEOPLE about seeing her Freaky Friday costar in newfound “mom mode" as they filmed the highly anticipated sequel, Freakier Friday.
"The whole thing was fun, just from all areas of it," Curtis says of reuniting with Lohan, 38 — who welcomed her first child, Luai, in 2023 with her husband Bader Shammas.
Noting that Lohan is "always" in "mom mode," the Oscar winner continues, "She just loves it. It's actually very hard to pull her away from mom mode."
Curtis, who is a mother of two herself, adds that Lohan did not bring her son to set, though he and her husband would "pick her up from work almost every day."
"Bader and Luai came and [would wait] for her in her trailer, and then they all go home together," she explains.

Back in August, Curtis and Lohan spoke exclusively with PEOPLE during Disney’s D23 fan event showcase in Anaheim, Calif., where they revealed who they would trade places with if they had the opportunity to do a body swap, like the one in their movie.
"Anyone? Maybe my baby," Lohan answered. "Just to see — because he is, so pure and just so happy, just to see life through his eyes, every day. He’s just this beautiful bundle of joy. I can’t think of anything else.”
Curtis, meanwhile, named WNBA star Caitlin Clark, saying, "I wanna play basketball like Caitlin Clark.. She's my lucky number, 22."
The Children’s Hospital Los Angeles 2024 Gala honored "brave patients and the remarkable physicians, researchers and caregivers who create hope and build healthier futures for children,” according to the event website.
At the event, AEG, Bernadette, Sugar Ray Leonard and Chuck Lorre were given the Courage to Care Award, which recognizes "philanthropists who exemplify volunteerism, insightful leadership and charitable giving."
It was hosted by Jon Cryer and wife Lisa Joyner, and saw Jimmy Kimmel and Molly McNearney serve as co-chairs, along with Kristin and Jeffrey Worthe.
Demi Lovato also served as a performer, singing an array of her biggest songs.
