James Corden has suggested that his time on The Late Late Show may come to an end in the next couple of years.
On air for almost six years now, the chat show – which gave birth to the hit segment 'Carpool Karaoke' – has taken the English star away from the UK and to the glitz of Los Angeles.
Speaking about his future plans, the 42-year-old admitted he's feeling homesick.
"I have a couple of years to go on this contract," he revealed (via The Sun). "Ending the show will always be a bigger family decision than a professional one.
"It will be about people at home who we miss very, very much, who we are homesick for.
"I also feel like my wife and I have three young children [9-year-old Max, 6-year-old Carey and 3-year-old Charlotte], and they are three young grandchildren that we've taken away from people."
The Gavin & Stacey favourite continued: "This probably feels particularly magnified now during the pandemic, but I have an overwhelming feeling that our family has walked to the beat of my drum for a very long time."
Earlier this year, Corden denied claims that he was in talks to replace Ellen DeGeneres on her long-running daytime show.
