KUALA LUMPUR, April 15 — Legendary local pop icon Datuk Jamal Abdillah welcomed his sixth child at a private medical centre in KL yesterday.

Speaking to Harian Metro, the singer shared that his wife Datin Zai Izzati Khiruddin, 27, has safely given birth to a baby girl via caesarean section following advice from their doctor.

Their 2.94 kilogramme newborn baby is named Rahil Laura Salsabila Yamani.

"Alhamdulillah, my wife has safely given birth to a perfectly healthy baby girl in the midst of this holy month of Ramadan," said the 63-year-old.

"Both my wife and our newborn are doing well and are healthy.

"Our Hari Raya celebration this year will be more lively with the presence of a new family member,”

Jamal added that Rahil completes his little family with Izzati.

According to Jamal, their doctor has advised his wife not to have any more children as all four of her children with Jamal were delivered via caesarean section.

Jamal tied the knot with Izzati on April 1, 2017. They couple has four children: Nur Azura Yamani, 3, El Isaac Yamani, 2, Rayyan Yamani, 1, as well as Rahil.

Jamal also has two sons from his previous marriage, who are 21-year-old Osama Yamani and 17-year-old Hamdan Zaki Yamani.
