Jam Hsiao originally thought Serina Liu's death was fake news

27 Mar – The news of Serina Liu's death shocked the entertainment industry so much that Jam Hsiao initially thought that it was fake news.

As reported on Epoch Times, the singer-songwriter who was asked to comment about the news of her passing earlier, said that nobody wanted such a thing to happen and that he hoped that it was nothing but a hoax.

"Saying these will cause harm to those who love her more," he added.

However, following confirmation about the news from the Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Jam, who spoke to the media again afterwards, admitted that he was saddened that the news was true after all.

"Although I didn't have much contact with her during her life, I felt close to her. Her kindness and beautiful smile left a deep mark in all of us. I hope her family will be okay," he added.

On the other hand, the singer stated that he recently injured the thumb of his left hand after excessive playing on the piano and guitar ever since he cancelled a lot of performances due to COVID-19.

"The doctors said that it was an inflammation. I will have to get treatment every two days and undergo physical therapy. If condition does not improve, we may have to consider surgery," he added.
