Lizzie McGuire's little brother is all grown up!

After news of the upcoming Lizzie McGuire reboot's cancellation spread all over the internet, Matt McGuire, AKA Jake Thomas, decided to share just a bit of info about where his character would be in 2020 if the show did continue as planned.

Jake shared some behind the scenes pics and videos from his time on the reboot set, confirming that the show did end up filming the first two episodes before it was officially scrapped. But his caption also gave us a major hint as to what we could have expected from Matt in the future.

"I'm bummed you all don't get to see how Matt grew up. He was pretty chill. Still a bit of a cocky asshole, but a good dude," he wrote. "Lived large. Spoke fluent Japanese. And was a total Elon Musk fanboy."

Honestly, considering all the pranks and interests that Matt pulled in the original series, this all 100 percent tracks, which makes it even worse for us since we won't actually get to see it.

Hilary Duff confirmed that the reboot wasn't moving forward after talks between her and Disney faltered over what they envisioned Lizzie's future to be.

"I want any reboot of Lizzie to be honest and authentic to who Lizzie would be today. It's what the character deserves. We can all take a moment to mourn the amazing woman she would have been and the adventures we would have taken with her. I'm very sad, but I promise everyone tried their best and the stars didn't align. Hey now, this is what 2020s made of."

We'll just have to settle for the original for now, but here's hoping it can happen again in the future.
