Jaclyn Victor to give portion of GV prize money to kids

29 Nov – After becoming RM100,000 richer now that she has won Season 9 of "Gegar Vaganza", Jaclyn Victor recently stated that a portion of it will go towards her children's savings.

The singer, who bested five other contenders including Shila Amzah and Tomok, shared that her current plan is to take a short break to spend time with her two children after having spent weeks focusing on her performances.

"I pity the kids as I was too busy with GV9," she said. "Parts of the money will be divided equally between them as a savings. That's what I usually do, anyway."

Jaclyn brought home not only the said amount of prize money, but also a trophy and a Paris trip.

Her victory was no surprise to anybody, as she showed off her vocal prowess by belting out Celine Dion's "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" and Keala Settle's "This is Me", followed by a rap battle with VE, performing Eminem's "Slim Shady" and Joe Flizzow's "Sang Saka Biru".

Second place went to Bob Yusof, followed by Shila Amzah in third.
