Neither incumbent New Jersey Gov Phil Murphy nor Republican nominee Jack Ciattarelli declared victory or conceded the race for governor as they ended their election parties early November 3, with results too close to call, NJ.com reported.
According to tallies compiled by the Associated Press, Ciattarelli and Murphy were neck and neck with 88 percent of votes counted shortly after 3 am.
