J. Cole has joined the likes of Timbaland, Mike Will Made It, Mike Dean, Scott Storch, Rance Dopson and many other A-list creators at Beatclub, an online marketplace for beats and sounds launching later this year. In addition to deals with “elite” producers and beatmakers, the platform allows creators to keep 100% of their music rights and 100% of their revenue, set their own terms for pricing, retain their publishing splits and royalties, and doesn’t take any additional income from subscribers.

J. Cole’s latest album “The Off-Season,” released May 14, is expected to debut at No. 1. The North Carolina rapper’s alignment with Beatclub was teased on Instagram on May 18.
Speaking to Variety in January, Mike Dean shared his view of and hope for Beatclub. “It’s gonna be cool as a spot you can buy and sell drum sounds, samples for your synth, loops and there’s a publishing part that’s being built into it — like a one-stop shop,” Dean said. “It’s not something I would think of doing but I want to try and make it easier for people to access my tracks.”
