26 Jun – Taiwanese actress Ivy Yin was recently named one of the jury members of this year's Taipei Film Festival.
As reported on Epoch Times, the actress who has won various Best Actress awards including the 19th Taipei Film Awards for "The Island That All Flow By", stated that she is honoured to be invited to be a part of the said festival this year as a judge for the first time ever.
"I have always appreciated the award-giving tradition of Taipei Film Festival. In addition of discovering new talents with good potential, it has also become the driving force in creative freedom in Taiwan," she said.
Ivy stated that she hopes to continue this tradition of encouraging creative talents in Taiwan.
This year's event is chaired by renowned filmmaker Wu Nien-jen, while the panel of jury will be headed by "Lonely Hearts Club" director Yee Chin-yen.
The 22nd Taipei Film Festival is opening on 25 June.
