Irpin ruins show brutality of Russian warfare - Scholz

STORY: "Innocent civilians have been targeted. Houses have been destroyed. An entire city has been destroyed where there was no military infrastructure at all. And that says a lot about the brutality of the Russian war of aggression, which is simply out to destroy and conquer," Scholz told reporters.

"Russia is pushing it forward with the greatest brutality, without regard for human life. And this must end," he added.

Scholz is visiting Kyiv with the French, Italian and Romanian leaders, where they are due to hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
