(SOUNDBITE) (English) EPIC IRAN CO-CURATOR, ANTIQUITY SECTION, DR JOHN CURTIS, SAYING:"Of course, Iran is in the news a lot, nearly always for the wrong reasons. And it's very good to be able to present a different side of Iran. And I think, you know, people ought to know that and to bear it in mind. And I also believe there's a great hunger actually in the West for people to know more about Iran."
It is the first such major exhibition in Britain in 90 years
(SOUNDBITE) (English) EPIC IRAN CO-CURATOR, ANTIQUITY SECTION, DR JOHN CURTIS, SAYING:
"The cultural heritage of Iran has largely been undervalued in the West and this goes back a very long time indeed...it's only quite recently that people are recognizing that Iran has got this wonderful, rich artistic tradition, wonderful cultural heritage, stretching back many, many, many years."
