Intubated COVID-19 patient plays violin for healthcare workers

A video showed Grover Wilhelmsen playing the violin on the hospital bed at the McKay-Dee hospital in Ogden, with a healthcare worker in protective gear standing nearby.

In a statement released by the hospital, it said that Wilhelmsen was not able to speak due to the tubes, and he communicated through writing to a nurse caring for him, that he wished to play at the hospital.

Wilhelmsen, a retired orchestra teacher, spent about one month in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) before being discharged to a long-term care facility where he's expected to recover.
