Interiors of Westminster Abbey at queen's funeral

STORY: Hundreds of thousands of people have queued to file past the casket of Britain's longest-reigning monarch at London's historic Westminster Hall where her coffin has been lying-in-state for the last four and a half days.

Among the 2,000 in the congregation will be some 500 world leaders, from U.S. President Joe Biden and Emperor Naruhito of Japan to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and Mark Brown, prime minister of the Cook Islands.

The Abbey website says: "Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's connection with Westminster Abbey ran like a thread through her early life and her long reign."
