Intan Ladyana explains the hush-hush on pregnancy
11 Jan – Now in her eighth month of pregnancy, Intan Ladyana recently revealed that it was not her intention to initially hide her pregnancy from public knowledge.
The actress, whose pregnancy only made the news after she had to be hospitalised due to her condition following a positive COVID-19 result, stated that the only reason she didn't talk about it was to be safe.
"[My husband and I] are going to be first time parents, so we were trying to be cautious. If we announced it too soon, it will just sadden us if something were to happen," she said.
Intan added that they originally planned to only make it known when they are prepared to do so.
At the same time, the actress is also not ready to share the gender of the baby, as they planned to surprise their family, friends and fans.
"When the time comes, we'll share it. We haven't even bought a lot of things for the baby anyway, because we're unsure what to buy. But we already have the necessary items," she added.
The 39 year-old actress tied the knot with her 22-year old husband in February last year, while their child is due this February.
