Injured olive ridley sea turtle rescued in Chile

Residents of Antofagasta beach alerted officials of the turtle and it was transported to the Antofagasta University rescue center for treatment.

The male turtle was found with a number of wounds on its shell that hindered its movement.

Olive ridley turtles are considered vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
