Injured Dog Rescued From Riverbed in San Diego

Rescuers with the San Diego Humane Society carried a 90-pound pit bull terrier mix out of a riverbed near the Logan Heights neighborhood on December 28.

Footage from the Humane Society shows the team going into the riverbed to rescue the canine, loading him up onto a stretcher. “The dog was badly injured, possibly hit by a car. A good Samaritan called us for help and our officers performed a technical rescue to get the dog to safety. He is receiving emergency care now,” a tweet from the society said.
